Chip, tending lines inside the lock.
We left Montreal the next morning, with only 24 hours to go until port. I was jumping out of my skin.
We went through several locks along the way. The photo doesn’t really capture it, but we essentially pulled into these massive boxes, and the water started pouring in, filling the box. The captain was shouting commands the whole time to ease or tighten the lines holding us to the side of the box. It was pretty intense.
